BORDA Cooperation Partner CDD Network 

The Consortium for Dissemination of DEWATS (CDD) is a framework organization founded on January 3rd, 2002 in Bangalore, India.

The CDD’s objective is to coordinate dissemination activities, including development of strategies, lobbying and marketing, as well as upgrading of the technology.

Center Scientific Research (CSR)
Non profit Trust since 1984, under Auroville Foundation set up by a special act of Indian Parliament, engaged in applied research in appropriate building technologies, renewable energy, water and sanitation, sharing communication and publication. Dissemination of DEWATS technology is a mission accomplished with the strategic intervention of CSR in national level.

EPC
Non profit (section 25) company settled in Ahmedabad, involved in town planning consultancy services for state and local level Govt. agencies, policy research and advocacy work for local, national and international development agencies, as well as promotion of sustainable development projects. Interested in promotion of DEWATS as a viable technology in a urban planning perspective.

EXNORA
NGO founded in 1989 in Chennai, Tamilnadu with activities that mainly focuses on management of waste for conservation of environment. Associated with DEWATS through the Community Based Sanitation and Slum Development project at Tiruchirapalli, Tamilnadu since 2003.

Foundation for Educational Innovation in Asia (FEDINA)
Non-profit Charitable Trust founded in 1983. Its activities focus on spanning from community development programs for socially and economically weak people in the peri-urban slums and tribal settlements in Karnataka, Kerala, Tamilnadu and Andra Pradesh, etc. With its projects, FEDINA promotes communal and environment harmony in four villages in Karnataka and Wastewater treatment / Community Based Sanitation program. It is associated in DEWATS project since 2001 and is a member of CDD since the beginning. It has settled Fedina- Borda Dewats Coordination Office (FDCO) as its technical backstopping unit since November 2001.

Hunnar Shaala
Non -profit organization settled in Bhuj Kutch, Gujarat. It is involved in development and transfer of innovative construction technologies for Shelter rehabilitation projects. Associated with DEWATS in organizing capacity building workshops. It joined the CDD in one of its latest meetings.

Indian Institute of Youth Welfare (IIYW)
Registered non-profit organization founded in 1973, in Nagpur, Maharasthra. It is involved in projects of community development, youth and women empowerment trainings. It is associated with DEWATS technology through CBS-SD project. It has identified four slum pockets in Nagpur (Kaikati Nagar, Dashrath Nagar, Vishwas Nagar and Bhimsen Kori) and is working on implementation of CBS units for these areas.

Inspiration
Profit registered partnership founded on Kochi, Kerala in 1996.Its work focuses on design and construction of ecofriendly buildings, development and dissemination of sustainable approaches, and on job training for professionals and artisans. Associated with DEWATS technology in dissemination and capacity building activities for city planning authorities and township developers, institutions and civic bodies, it also undertakes the construction and monitoring of 10 DEWATS units.

L & S Architects
Profit registered partnership firm offering consultancy of design and construction of buildings in Bangalore. It has been associated with DEWATS through the construction of two units. It joined the CDD in one of its latest meetings.

Pondy Auroservice Consultants (PAC)
Private Limited company founded 30 years ago. It offers consultancy services in the field of building construction and wastewater. It represented a key consultant and supervisor of the DEWATS plant built in AEH.

Rajiv Gandhi Rural Housing Cooperation Limited
Government company established by the Government of Karnataka to cater to the housing needs of the economically and socially weak section of the society. It has been registered in April 2000. It joined the CDD in one of its latest meetings.

Rural Literacy and Health Program (RLHP)
Registered charitable society based at Mysore. It is involved in slum development programs since 1984. It is associated with DEWATS through Community Based Sanitation and Slum Development project. It joined the CDD in one of its latest meetings.

Sulabh International Institute of Technical Research and Training (SIITRAT)
NGO based in Delhi in the field of Sanitation projects since 1986. It is a pioneer in this field and was involved in DEWATS project since its inception in India. SIITRAT is one of the founder members of CDD.
